Dispatch information

Our dispatch times are 24-48 hours after your order has been placed. If you require your order more urgently please contact us before placing the order. All packages are sent via Royal Mail. Most orders that are placed before 2pm on a weekday will USUALLY be sent the same day. we do not dispatch packages AFTER 3PM ON A FRIDAY OR ON SATURDAYS OR SUNDAYS. WE ALSO DO NOT DISPATCH PACKAGES ON UK BANK HOLIDAYS.

Delivery information

Royal mail 1st class tracked is USUALLY DELIVERED within 1-3 working days and Royal Mail 2nd Class tracked is usually delivered within 3-5 working days but both can take up to 21 working days during busy periods. Tracking details will be on your dispatch email.

royal mail special delivery is delivered the next working day by 1pm. this service is only available monday-thursday on orders placed before 1pm. orders placed on friday, saturday or sunday using this option will not be posted until the monday. please note somebody will need to be at home to accept the package, the package can not be left in a safe place or with a neighbour.

PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE NO INFLUENCE OVER HOW LONG YOUR PACKAGE WILL TAKE TO ARRIVE. THE PACKAGE WILL NEED TO BE MISSING FOR 25 WORKING DAYS BEFORE ROYAL MAIL WILL CLASSIFY YOUR ITEMS AS MISSING AND ISSUE COMPENSATION. IF THE PACKAGE IS RETURNED TO US DUE TO THE CUSTOMER NOT BEING HOME FOR DELIVERY, providing incorrect delivery information OR FAILING TO COLLECT THE PACKAGE FROM A LOCAL SORTING OFFICE, THE CUSTOMER WILL NEED TO PAY FOR THE ITEMS TO BE POSTED AGAIN. IF YOU INSTEAD REQUIRE A REFUND THIS WILL BE MINUS THE ORIGNAL POSTAGE COSTS. IF THE PARCEL IS RETURNED TO US DUE TO AN ERROR ON THE BUTTERFLY CAKE SHOPS PART, WE WILL EITHER ISSUE A FULL REFUND INCLUDING ORIGINAL POSTAGE COSTS OR POST THE ITEMS AGAIN FOR FREE. IF YOU REQUIRE A TRACKING NUMBER PLEASE SELECT TRACKED POSTAGE WHEN CHECKING OUT. WE CAN NOT TRACK PACKAGES THAT ARE SENT STANDARD 1st & 2ND CLASS.

International orders

Royal Mail International Tracked usually arrives around 6-7 working days after posting, international deliveries can take up to 25 working days to arrive.. Tracking details will be on your dispatch email. Your parcel will be first delivered to your countries customs department. This process can take anywhere from a few days up until 4 months. You may also be sent a customs duty bill to pay which is the customers responsibility to pay and not included in your order total. Please check out your own countries customs information for an idea on what time scale and fees you can expect.

IF YOU REQUIRE A REFUND THIS WILL BE MINUS THE ORIGNAL POSTAGE COSTS. refunds

refunds are at the sole discretion of the butterfly cake shop.

refunds will not be given due to colour differences in how an item may appear online in comparrison to how it looks in the flesh, postage delays or slight cosmestic issues on the tools we sell e.g a scratch mark on a piping tip that doesnt effect its function will not be refunded.

if you change your mind about your purcphase, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order to advise that you would like to return any items that you do not require. the customer must cover the cost of postage for the return. items must be returned unused and in their original packaging (please note we do not accept returns for edible items) and must be packaged well. once recived we will check the returns over and provided they have not been used or damamged we will issue a refund for the items.

if a product is faulty or arrives damaged please contact us and provide photo evidence. a replacement or refund will be offered (for international orders a refund only will be offered on faulty or damaged goods). if you are unable to provide photo evidence of the issue a refund will not be issued.

if an item is missing from your order we will either send a replacement out or offer a refund for this item. (please note for international orders any missing items will be refunded only.)

if royal mail lose your package we won’t leave you out of pocket. once the appropriate time frames have passed for a package to be classified as missing (please see delivery information above for timescales). we will either post your items again or offer a full refund including postage costs.

if you are unhappy for whatever reason please allow us an opportunity to rectify things before opening a case with paypal. anyone that opens a case with paypal after not giving us a change to rectify the issue or because of a reason we have clearly stated that we will not refund for, will be immediatly black listed and any future orders will be cancelled. all paypal claims are disputed with evidence.
